How do you lower the volume on a onyx mp4 player

you can use Mp4 or 3PG video format. But the Mp4 will certainly work with your player.

make sure you havnt got the shuffle turned on

push the play button (V on the top of the unit - other end is pause II) until the volume level (number in the lower left corner beside the speaker icon) turns green (2 or 3 seconds), then push the FF button >>I to raise the level or the REWIND I<< to lower the level

Itunes is formatted for mp4 players. That is Ipods or other apple products. You can use Windows Media Player to add vidoes and music to your mp3 player. Also if you have files in itunes that you want to be converted to mp3 for your player. All you need to do is find a mp4 to mp3 converter.

You will need to download a video converter and convert files from mov, or AVI to mp4. You can also drag songs from song file/folder and drop them into the "I" drive which should have your player on it

That's the max volume for the unit. It was built that way. The volume setting is a 5-bit value, which is why it comes out to a strange number, but if you count 0, there are 32 settings total. Hence 2 to the 5th power.
