I set it in the morning for a 9hr delay start, came home & the wash cycle hadn't started & the 'lid lock' light on. Now I can't start machine at all. When I turn on the machine beeps constantly & the 3 of the cycle lights are on. Beeping only stops when I push the start button, but then we are back to the lid lock phase. Have unplugged from the wall for a day but no joy :(
Good day, I will see if I could assist, there is could be a few reasons this is happening. If you could list the order and sequence of the led lights please.
Code 49 is not always the inlet valves it could be the controller too, a bit of testing on your end is necessary to eliminate the actual cause and remedial suggestions.

Depending on the washing machine there is a time delay between when the "Start button" is depressed and the actual start of the cycle, also the lid, on a lot of newer washers, must be closed to start the cycle. Give it 30 seconds to start, if it does not start, post again.
Good Day, your machine is normal is washing cycle? if yes.do the same for
the fully automatic washing machine mostly have drain pump, please check the
filter of your drain pump, if clog your drain pump of some hair pins, cotton
buds or coins or any small item, that the cause of water stuck, and it will long
time draining or totally not running the drain pump.and its cause of stop of
cycle of washing machine in rinse time or spin time, because after washing the
pump must be on to remove water before start the next cycle.
Hi brittruiz07, I’m an owner like you and will try to help. Is your machine type a FAV6800AW or FAV9800AW?I need to know the model number this is important. With this condition I assume both lid locks retract allowing you to open the lid and no water flows into the wash tub and you take no error codes to the display is this correct? The Lid is Locked LED lit and if the water valves are not not signaled on at the start of the wash cycle this issue could be related could be related to a Control Board issue. I don't want to say failure just yet. Let's see if the Control Board will let you get into Service Mode. With no error codes to start the troubleshooting process with we need to enter Service Mode and vview machine Error Code History. To enter Service Mode press and hold simultaneously the Enviro Plus and Spin Only keys for three seconds or until the control beeps and the display reads “00”. This is from the Service Manual; this process starts on page 17 in the Service Manual. In Service Mode press the Wrinkle Control key. The display will show a “d”. The diagnostic codes can be viewed by using the Set Delay Time arrow keys. Pressing the Set Delay Time down arrow key will cycle down the list one code at a time each time it is pushed. Please right down each code such 4, 18, 22 etc. If there are no error codes in the Control Board memory the display will read “- -“ that’s two dashes in the display.I feel you will have many Error Codes from previous wash cycles.I just want to get a feel for the Error Code history. Next I want you to hard reset the Control Board by pulling the disconnecting the washer power cord for ten seconds then reconnect washer power.Go back into Service Mode and make sure all Error Codes have cleared you should only see “- -“.Press the off button to back out of Service Mode. Start a Quick Wash cycle with minimal machine settings and no clothes in the basket. If the washer fails to start the Quick Wash cycle as you described in your initial post how long did it take for the machine to unlock the lid?Did any water flow into the tub and were there any Error Codes sent to the display? Please go back and read the error code list and let me know what error codes you see from this Quick Wash cycle attempt.I know this is painful but we need to start somewhere. You can pump out excess water when you fail with dc/UC unbalance errors with this process from the Service Manual. Close the lid and enter the Service Mode by pressing and holding simultaneously the Enviro Plus and Spin Only keys for three seconds or the display reads “00”
Press the Delicates key this will lock the lid. Now press the Presoakkeythe drain pump will turn on. Turn off the drain pump by hitting the off button or hit the Presoak key. Rich
I had this EXACT problem this morning and ended up calling the Sears Home Central Team out (I have an extended maintenance agreement). This is an error code that CAN BE RESET by the end user (you and me!) and doesn't need a repairmain. Here's what you do:
PRESS AND HOLD the START and CANCEL BUTTONS. The four lights above the START button will begin to flash. Continuing holding the START and CANCEL button and "spin" your wash selector knob to "SPIN". Release the START and CANCEL buttons and Press the START button. This will RESET the error codes within the system and allow you to "cancel out" of the DELAY START.
IF the error codes are "bad ones", then the system will stay locked and you'll need to call a repairman; however, this "fix" should work for MOST of the routine system error codes.
Worked on mine and we're a happy washing family once again!!
