Replaced lamp red light light still on, but hear sound for a few min. then tv shuts off and lamp light comes back on

The picture had been getting darker,replaced lamp same thing but now I hear sounds but no picture is the price of fixing it worth it or should I spend the money to get a new (not dlp) tv?

REPLACE THE LAMP IT IS LOCATED IN THE BACK OF THE TV THERE ARE INSTRUCTIONS IN THE OWNERS MANUAL FOR REPLACEMENT IT IS CONSIDERED CUSTOMER REPLACEABLE ITEM.

Turn on and red light comes on after two min. and it shuts off
on that model its possible for the lamp sockets from the ballast get pushed back inside the tv. Remove the bulb and verify that the sockets are firmly attached to the rear wall of the lamp compartment.

When turned on, my Mitsubishi TV shuts off after a few seconds.
the lamp is simple; yet you can run into problems with this tv. be very careful replacing lamp. the plug in the tv can be damaged. (due to the design)

Tv turns on and than red status light comes on and shuts down
it sounds like the 3300uf caps on the power supply have gone bad.look at them and see if they are pregnant. if so change them. while you have the shield off see if any other caps are pregnant, if so you might want to think about having the chassis repaired.

No picture, hear sound, television will shut off after a few seconds.
Lamp life is only a few thousand hours. Hopefully its only the lamp that made to noise. Don't turn on again until lamp is replaced.
