Well...they are kinda the same. The condenser is where the refrigerant is condensed from a gas to a liquid. When in AC mode this happens outside at the AC unit. (You ever put your hand over a running AC unit in the summer? Feels warm!). When in Heat Pump mode the process is reversed. Instead of condensing the gas to liquid outside (which creates heat) the condensing happens inside and helps warm the building up (with the help of the fan of course). So essential the condenser is where the gas is condensed into a liquid, which creates heat. A heat pump can reverse the direction of the flow and cause this condensing to happen either outside or inside.
This is a very watered down version of what happens but I hope this is sufficient for what you are asking.

Heatpump is leaking water inside

Heat pumps come with a condensate pan to catch normal condensation as it forms in the unit. The condensation drips out of the system through a drain line. If your drain line is clogged, or your overflow pan is misaligned, water may start to leak out.

Why contactor on heat pump will not energize heat mode?

Heat pump and AC are basically working the same principle. When you turn on the heat pump is just like to turn on the AC. The main contactor will energize to turn on the compressor. The only difference is the 3 way valve, either switching to AC mode or heat mode. It is the most commom problem for heat pump. Check the thermostat wires for heat mode and defrost control.

Can i replace only wall split system head with different brand

I wouldn't recommend it, because of capacity, refrigerant type, and functionality. For example, heat pump condensing unit can only be matched with a heat pump air handler and must use the same type of metering device on the inside unit. It can be done, but would have to be done by a qualified tech. Why chance problems. Besides, you'll void the warranty.

Where is the drain pan located?

Sometimes there is no condensate.
Sometimes the drain line is clogged.

OD model#, CKL36- 1F and the indoor model#, AR36-1. The indoor does not have the electric heat strip in it but has the place for it. I want to convert it to a heat pump. Is it a 3 ton system? How many KW...

You can use the existing air handler for a heat pump condenser unit up to 3 tons. The line set, evap coil are fine for a heat pump.
The electric heat strip issue can be another problem, you can put several different size strips in depending on what may be needed where you live, the power requirements will differ with each heat strip, for example a 5KW (5000 watt) heat strip requires a 2 pole 30 amp circuit for heat strip and air handler combination.

You need a strip heater for the air handler portion if you want heat. That will almost certainly require a circuit upgrade too. It would not be practical to 'add' the heat pump. You would need to replace the entire condenser (outside unit) to do that. You would also need a different thermostat and probably a new thermostat wire to the outside.

Compatability of a R22 air handler and a R410a heat pump

1. The units should match up without a problem.
2. You will need a 40 or 50 amp breaker for the A/H and 5 KW heat strip. You will probably need a 20 or 25 Amp for the condensing unit. I would check the FLA (full load amps) rating on both units, total them and install a breaker with no more than 20% more rating than the total. You can install a small box at the A/H with a breaker for the A/H and one for the condensing unit.
