You have to install anti knock pipes into your plumbing, it's quite common. Go to the local home center you can by pre made or make your own as I did when remodeling my basins. Good Luck..
The Triton t90si is fed from the tank in your attic. This also feeds the cold water in your bathroom. If you still have cold water in the bathroom tap,it means that there is water in the attic tank so the problem is somewhere else.I believe there is a bleed valve on these showers so maybe that is the problem. It may also be that the pipes are clogged up with dirt or limescale. The water filter may need cleaning. Hope this will help with your thinking on the problem.
Your check-valve has most likely failed at the switch. The flow check valve works by opening when you turn the water tap. When it opens it closes a switch which turns on your heating elements. When this switch fails you will still have water flow, but no heat. Titan has parts for this but you will need to call their service Dept.

THATS GONNA HAPPEN WITH THE HUMIDITY IN THE BATHROOM AND THE TEMP DIFFERENCE. TRY INSULATING THE DUCT WORK FOR THE VENT. INSTALL A FLAPPER SIMILAR TO WHAT A CLOTHES DRYER HAS. U DON'T WANT COLD AIR COMING IN. INSTALL A DEHUMIDIFIER.
Chances are you use the kitchen hot water a lot more. Flush the bathroom hot water line by running it til the water gets cold a few times. This should remove the rust. Also, do this with the screen removed from the faucet.
Sounds like you need to replace your shower valve, especially if this is the only fixture in the house being affected. You could try to replace the cold water cartridge first. Hope this helps
