Phaser 8200 error code

I think I had this error once. Could be your bulbs (one or both) are out or are on their way out. I had to replace mine. They are 150 watt halogen bulbs. When you open it up, do you see lights on the side peering in?

Where in Belgium Europe can I find Heating halogen ligths for a 8200 phaser printer. On the old continent we use 220 volts. Xerox asks 200? plus a heavy repair fee ... Thanks for help

If you are able to do the repair yourself, then remove a lamp from the preheater assembly and look at the voltage and wattage on the bulb itself...on some there is also a lamp part number.

you can also order a repair kit from e-bay. The same lamps are used in the Phasers 840, 850, 860 & 8200

Here are 2 links that have what you need (if the internal voltages for the printer are the same in europe as in usa):

Error phaser 8200

This error message is related to the drum heater malfunctioning. It is basically 4 small halogen bulbs that warm up the image drum. Sometimes one or two of the bulbs will blow causing this error. The part # is 650-4228-00 Drum/Paper Heater assy. It is not extremely difficult to change, however you need torx bit screwdrivers to remove the components, also there is a very delicate paper sensor that needs to be removed, so you may want to have a technician replace it.

Hope this helps!
