Check your outbox first, and check your memory meter.
I have found that moving all your numbers from the sim card to the phone memory frees up a lot of space, even if you have already changed message settings to 'save to phone'.

Go to Message > Settings > All Msg. Select Auto Erase and turn it on. After this, you can turn it back off and the "Memory Full" message will go away.

Go to SMS. Delete any messages from T-Mobile or whatever your system provider is.
Then All Messages in the lower left
Menu on the right
Scroll down to Tools
Choose Empty Deleted Items

When i try to send a text message it says "memory full" but i deleted
all my old texts and people have told me they sent me text messages and
i haven't received any. How can i fix this?
I've got the same problem I don't have anything saved on my phone, though. It's not a memory problem. It's a glitch. I called Verizon, and I was told to go to the store and they would fix it there.
do I need to delete old messeges
