My dryer seems slow up or stop then starts up again. Would that be the fuse?

It just started doing this slow, stop and start thing, yesterday. I thought maybe it may be a fuse. I hope someone truly is on the other end of this message. Thank you for your time. Nim

Sounds like the belt is slipping, does it start slipping immediately? Try it without any clothes in it, it is definitely NOT a fuse.

SOURCE: Wateroverfill

sticky level indicator...still a mechanical issue..check to see that it's not stuck or impeded(it's under the washer, up against the tub..usually on one side or the other.

SOURCE: maytag performa dryer doesn't fully heat

A couple of suggestions. STOP, be sure the gas it turned off before disconnecting the line. Move it to an open area and check all venting. A good cleaning makes a huge difference. I believe your problem to be the heating coil is on it's way out, "works sometime". Write down the Make, Model, Seriel Number & Year of MFG...someone may ask for it..Check Your local appliance store for price & availablity Easy to replace on most model dryers.
When reattaching the gas line, be safe not to overtighten the coupler. A safe test for leaks is NOT a match... a drop or two of dishsoap around the fittings will bubble if it is not sealed. Good Luck

SOURCE: Dryer stops after 20min. maytag model lse7806ace

Sounds like it's overheating, when is the last time you cleaned the vent. You should peridically (at least every 6 months) disconnect the vent pipe/hose at the back of the machine clean it in both directions with a canister vac. Also make sure the vent 'exit' on the exterior of your residence which has a flap isn't plugged or stuck in the closed position. If this doesn't help let me know and I'll be glad to help you further.

Hello,
I would think you are on the right track, possibly a belt, I would also check all the rollers or idlers while you are replacing the belt.

Hello, I have Amana LG4309W heavy duty gas dryer.

sounds like one of the supply fuses at the house panel, these 240 volt dryers are wired so the timer is on one phase(120)volt and the motor is on the opposite phase(120)volt and the heating element is on both phases for a combined 240 volts,if you lose one phase you either wont get motor operation or timer operation, and for sure no heat and you have the timer so you have 120volts

My asko T721 dryer won't start. If I hold the start button down it will work, but the second I let go of it the dryer stops. It was running fine yesterday and then it stopped and now I can't get it...

the start button is bad. you will have to get it replaced take the model and serial# and go to your local appliance part store and they should have one.
