Frigidaire electric dryer (FEQ1442CES) keep flashing and beeping even after cleaning lint filter.

The lights on the panel on my Frigidaire electric dryer (FEQ1442CES) purchased 2007-02-20 keep flashing and the machine keeps beeping when it is plugged in and the dryer will not stay running beyond about 10 seconds. We have cleaned the lint filter and entire length of the dryer vent to the outside. What might be the problem. THk U!

Good Afternoon Friend,

I understand that your Frigidaire dryer, model# FEQ1442ES, keeps beeping and flashing lights. I also see that you have cleaned all the lint out and your appliance will not run more than about 10 seconds. I suggest contacting your local authorized technician for further assistance. They will be able to diagnose your appliance, determine what is causing the lights to flash and the beeping, and repair your dryer. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

Mine is doing the same thing. I kept starting it when it stopped, and after the 20th time or so, it finished the cycle. Alas, is beeping again.

SOURCE: Clean Lint Filter Light Keeps Dryer from starting

Evidently the fuse blew for some reason.
Keep the dryer unplugged from power for one hour or so. If it still does start, you will have to take apart the dryer, check the fuse, check the thermal fuse, and test the wirings inside.
If you need to call arepairman use the number listed on the owner manual.

SOURCE: Frigidaire electric dryer; model # FDEB34RGS1- gets TOO hot!

I could not find the model number you listed. I also would be very concerned about over heating until we can find and locate the problem. Look inside the door and compare number with the on listed here at Fixya. Thanks, Sea Breeze

My dryer is flashing "E68" and beeping on the

E68 means a button is stuck on the control board, you can lightly press all buttons and see if that clears the problem. Next slam the door shut as it may be the sensor door latch, then unplug the dryer as it maybe lint built up on the lint trap: remove your lint filter.remove the waffled plastic that covers the lint filter slot. , its inside the dryer, and there's two screws holding it in. Be careful, because there's two wires connected to the metal strip on the bottom edge of it. That metal strip is sensor. Don't drop the screws into the lint filter slot. you might find that a lot of lint has built up around the contacts for those two wires. Carefully clean all the lint and if you have an attachment for you vacuum you may want to use it just be careful and plug back in , and reinstall. Might want to check the vent tube since we are cleaning as it may be restricted. unplug dryer and the last thing is to take the back off and see if the control board itself is damaged or dirty, if it is dusty/dirty with a brush lightly brush it off. If none of the above worked then I would call the company at 1-800- 444-4944. Good Luck and let me know Tim

Frigidaire FEQ1442ES dryer beeping three times and flashing lights. How do I stop it. Have removed and cleaned lint screen and the cage.

I have the same problem with the same dryer, but don't know why either. I was reading on one posting that a button might be stuck so the dryer thinks the button is constantly being pressed.

3 beeps and lights flash when I push the start button

The door is not compltely closing. Make sure to push it in hard around the clasp areas. If yours has a light, the light should turn off and on as you open and close the door.

Keep getting 3 beeps and the lights come on while its beeping.

Mine has been beeping incessantly as well. Turned out that even though I was cleaning the filter after each load, there was still a ball of lint the size of a tennis ball that was blocking the lint sensor. To fix, I removed the screws from the plastic piece that holds the lint trap and slid it out (it won't come out entirely.) Then I used the mini attachments for my vacuum to remove the lint from the bottom of that space. Once I did that, the dryer has been working flawlessly.
