SD Memory cards have a tiny switch on the edge that marks the memory card as read only and prevents any writes. If you get the message "Card locked!" when you turn the camera on then turn the camera off, eject the SD card. With the card facing you (metal contacts facing away) the switch is on the left hand edge, slide towards the top of the card to make the card read/write again.

Remove the card, and look for a tiny slide switch on the side of the card. Slide this switch to the other "unlocked" position. Reinsert the card and try it out.

Does you camera use CF cards?
If so the may work but some of the newer high tech CF cards are made for newer cameras.
It may be worth a shot to try the 2GB card and if it does not work, sell to someone who uses those.
