How to remove hard drive in xerox pro 245 copier

You bought a new HDD?

1. Make sure the optional Hard Disk Drive has been installed
2. Power the machine off and on

I did contact the Xerox support center and they did suggest the following fix:
reboot the printre --> pres the following buttons --> powersave + red stop button + nr 6.
This should empty the print memory.
Dont forget to remove all the printer jobs on the client computers.

Hi Scunning84, I don't have the solution but I too am trying to figure out where the hard drive is in this copier? Were you successful in locating it? Thanks for any help you can offer. Carrie

It may be a defective Main System Controller board 160K91660 or Hard Drive 960K01120.

There is a diagnostic which requires the Xerox Technician's Laptop to test the Hard Drive.

You might get lucky just reseating the Hard Drive.

on the 416, click on the "machine status" button next to the lcd screen. scroll down to number 09, which is "Total Print Counter".

That is a software related error, You most likely need to reload the firmware, or replace the hard drive.
You can try disconnecting all the document feed and scanner cables then reseating them. Other than that, your looking at a software issue.

You may have over packed the toner....take it outside and empty it onto newspaper carefully! Shake the unit the loosen any hard pack, then try it in the machine ..if it is now quiet put HALF thetoner back.....if it is still noisy you might have busted the toner drive auger it's made of the 20th Century wonder material plastic
