Error code ' F61 ' on most Panasonic models indicate that the built-in diagnostics has sensed a fault at the output stage. This would normally refer to a failed output amplifier IC (?P/N RSN704D66P?). In some instances, the fault could also be triggered by:
strands of Speaker wires inadvertently touching each other;
faulty speakers;
failed Cooling Fan of the output IC.
Options then are:
consider a DIY (do-it-yourself) repair only if familiar with electronic components & circuitry, use of a DVM/VOM and a soldering iron. Access to a Service manual would be an advanatge;
seek the services of an authorized service center specially if the unit is still under warranty;
consider other options based on downtime, cost of repair, parts of availability, age of unit and prices of comparable but newer models.

Usually that is just to wrap around the fan cable to make sure it doesn't go into the fan. F76 error can be either the fan is not turning, or the amp is bad.
I have the same problem with my Panasonic model SAHT-40. I get the same code plus popping and shortly reads maximum overload then cuts off. I disassembled my unit and discovered that my fan fails 2 work causing the unit it over heat. I called Panasonic 2 place an order 4 a cooling fan. This model is obsolete they dont even manufacture parts 4 this unit anymore. The closest that I can get with my credit card is Samsung model AH31-00056B cooling fan through Panasonic. I hope that this solution helps all of u out with ur unit!
There is a fault with the DVD Changer and the noise is the gears grinding. This is a common fault with these units as a small arm within the unit breaks and blocks the mechanism.
You can either try and replace the complete DVD Changer or remove it and just us it as a surround sound system with your auxiliaries connected to it.
