Hi, I have a Samsung LN40A550 LCD TV which I have had for just over a year. ... If you mean a firmware update to the MLTD3222, there is no way for a user to update this TV with built-in DVD player. The manufacturer doesn't provide updates and has no way to access them from a DVD, USB flash drive or SD card. (The manual for the related MLTD2622 is available from Memorex support: http://support.memorex.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/939 . )

Try 1431 - it's a Poloroid code since some Memorex tvs are similar

I have not seen such a setting, but an easy fix is to put a small piece of electrical tape over the light.  If you'd rather have a fix with a bit more style, use a sticker you like.

Hi! I realize that you posed a couple years ago, but I am having the same problem with my relatively new Memorex MLT 3221 model. How did you solve it??? I have tried every 'layman' solution that I can think of! Please help!
