Error code SC491 means laser cooling fan locked and this is an internal error and should be checked/tested by a professional. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

SC543 high temp error.
Reset fuser error. If it reoccurs could be a bad ECB(engine) or PSB(powersupply) board. To reset fuser error go to maint. mode
Hold stop/start & escape and turn power on. OK. look for reset fuser error.

How do I solve the sc 542 error problem on Ricoh aficio sp 3510dn printer when it does not have an online button or a number keypad?

You need to switch the power switch off.
Hold down either the online & escape or stop/start & escape while switching the machine on.
The machine should start up in service mode.
Select 1 for service mode
Select 5 for mode
Scroll to 810 SC reset and select enter
Select execute.
Switch machine off and on again.

Fix problems for error code sc 542 for ricoh 3510dn printer

1. Switch machine off.
2. Hold up and down arrows in while switching the machine on.
3. Select Service menu and OK.
4. Scroll to 5.Mode and OK.
5. Scroll to 810 SC/Jam reset and press OK.
6. Execute
7. Switch machine off and on again.

If code does not reset you would need to replace the Fusing Unit and follow the above steps again.

Getting sc542 error code in display

Previously answered by AndyBell Error code sc542

this is an error for the fuser heat up..the temp is not being maintained or fluctuations.

try this -
press the yellow clear button at top of number pad then enter 107 and hold down the red cancel button..the screen will change

enter the copier sp and select 5.mode arrow down to 5-810 sc reset and execute.

turn machine off..

if the code disappears it could have been just a glitch

if not check the fuser to see if there is heat coming from it

the lamps will come on at the start up.

you can check this by putting a screw driver in the actuator slot to cheat the door switch

if you see the lamp come on then you may just have to clean off the thermistors ..

open the fuser up with the top screws and check that there isn't any build up of toner on thermistors..
