Yes, after you push the start button on the unit, pull the plug out of the wall socket when the arm gets to its bottom position. It will stop at this lowered position. When you plug it in again, it will go back to its upright position. Norelco ships the new cleaning units in this contracted position. When you plug it in presto! You are ready to go.

You can then click on a jet clean model and then open the .pdf of the manual. The instructions should be similar. There is nothing to using it. Fill the reservoir with jet clean solution to the max line. Put the shaver in the cradle heads down and press the button on the front of the cleaning base. If it doesn't stay down and clean you may have another problem. If so, then search "Norelco Arcitec Electric Shaver with Jet Clean" on this site and you can find answers to your problems.

The solution should not be deluted. You should fill the basin to the 'fill line' with the Jet Clean solution.

If you do not know where th fill line is on your cleaning station, refer to your user manual. I would offer a link to the user manual but you did not state the specific model number of your shaver/

I had the exact same problem. Then I put more solution in so that it was just above the MAX line and it worked fine. So make sure you have enough cleaning solution in the system and it should work great.
