The Picture is very washed out. Example: When the TV turns on at has dell Logo first. Where the dell logo is there are lines going above and below where the logo is. The lines going up and down are very static like. They are not solid lines and they are blue with the dell logo cause the logo is blue but for an image that is white like the "component 1" then the lines are redish. They are not solid lines, very scrambled. It appears almost like the tv is having a difficult time building the picture properly and it is bleeding... I dont know how to describe the problem any better then that, Im sorry.

It looks like your tv is unable to handle the output video resolution from your bluray. The reason why you do not have picture on the tv screen after the bluray disc logo appears.

You can follow the instruction below to set the video resolution on your player to its lowest resolution:

1. Using your bluray remote control, press the following buttons in order... STOP button (press and release) ....HOME button (press and release)....POP UP/MENU button ( press and release )
Note: press the buttons in order with 1 second interval. Make sure tv and bluray are ON when you try this. If first attempt nothing happens, try this again.

2. When the home menu screen appears after doing the above instruction, you can set the video resolution again manually. Follow the instruction:
Using the BD remote control press HOME button > then go to SETUP > select screen settings > then change OUTPUT VIDEO RESOLUTION to Auto > change also 24P OUT to 1080P // set the BD-ROM 24P OUTPUT to Auto

The next time you turn on the bluray player you will have picture again.

Try to use dvd player to play video to determine where the problems goes wrong either from the video signal of the cable provider or from the TV itself.

I will need to know at which stage of the boot up it shuts down for example can you see the windows logo? If you can get as far as the windows logo. Turn your pc on and hold f8 after the bios screen.

Sounds like the video card could be bad. Also make sure the connections from your cable box are securely tightened.

this logo with the dell picture can be disabled from the Bios settings ..to get there press F2 on start ..or what ever key is indicated on that logo screen for to go in set-up ..and in there under advanced settings look for screen logo ..and disable it ..after that f10 to save settings ..or in some bios editions it will ask if you want to save changes on exit ..select save changes and exit ..
just look carefully in the tabs ..cause this option is there for sure..and disabling the logo will kinda make it boot faster ..

load dell diagnostics and check your hard drive, one of the options when the dell logo is on the screen.

There is a way to reset television. I have a jvc 42inch that was just going to main logo screen and not beyond it. If i remember correctly you unplug the tv hold power button for 5 sec on tv then let go plug in and start. If that dont work unplug and then plug and hold power button on tv for 5 sec. It is 1 of those combinations. My tv worked after that. I googled my problem and a website listed that some tvs need to be reset.

its the ss logic board. It is located behind the main board assembly. Its purpose is to send the signal to the mainboard for video clarity. The mainboard is OK, it the board below it. there is a numeric stamp on the board. Locate that number and google it or get back to me I may be able to further assist you.
