How to fix scrabled dv tape - JVC GR-D270 Mini DV Digital Camcorder

I got the same problem, does nobody has a solution. Please help!!

the problem of your player is the mechanism to dv tape slut(not mini dv)...it need to calibrate or to tune up...only can fix this is a qualified technician....

...try to cleaning the drum head inside the mini DV camcorder with cleaning mini DV tape...

Your efforts can damage tiny parts within. Best solution is to find a technician to open the door or put it apart and fix it. Good luck.

mam try to check the tape if its correctly inserted to the camcorder. it must the tape itself or the tape compartment has the problem. insert the tape and see if its feed to the tape head and be sure that it will close with no problems. if the problem still occuring or persisting then try another dv tape and see if you got the same problem. otherwise go to the nearest repair shop to be able to fix with the use of their tools. hope that helps you ma'm!

If the problem only shows with Mini DV tapes, it can be a tape guide issue or a mchanism loading problem where the tape is not being properly "seated" into the tape mechanism. You will need to use an oscilloscope to look at the RF waveform coming off the tape to try and figure out where your problem is.

To get rid of the DV IF flashing go to >menu>systems>DV control ...OFF. (page 63 in the instruction manual)
