Verify that the clock motor is 220v. On the posts where the supply wires (line) and pool motor wires (load) they should each have a post for each of their two wires. If you do not have four posts, this is NOT a 220v timer.

SOURCE: how to wire a T174 intermatic time switch timer

Intermatic T174 wires exactly like the T104 240Volt timer.
Only difference between T174 ans T104 is the day skipper wheel on T174.
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-wire-T104-Intermatic-timer.html#T104

These timers are very versatile and can be wired many ways, and changed to control different voltages by changing clock motor wires, or changing clock motor.
Voltages include typical 240Volt. But also 277V, 480V, 120V, 208V and 24Volt

Pool timer

You have the T103 timer rated 120-240. The clock motor part of timer is 120Volt. This is a very versatile timer, but confusing for non-electrician and electrician alike.
Solve problem by converting timer from T103 to the 240V T104 by changing clock motor from 120V WG1570 to 240V WG1573.
Buy wg1573 clock motor at WW Grainger or drillspot etc.

This simple fix is intentionally designed by Intermatic so their timers are not only adaptable to all electrical needs, but also can be maintained to last 25 years by replacing clock motors and trippers as needed

Can i change the model T101P3 timer from 110 to 220?

1) Yes. Change clock motor from WG1570 to WG1573
Wiring is same as T102 timer:
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-wire-T104-Intermatic-timer.html#T102
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-replace-Intermatic-clock-motor.html

2) If new pump motor is 2-speed, then converted T101P3 cannot handle 2-speed pump.
Use T106 timer, or T1906 timer:
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-wire-T104-Intermatic-timer.html#2-speed
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-wire-T1906-Intermatic-timer.html#pool

3) New T106 or T1906 timer mechanism will snap into T103P enclosure without changing boxes.
Any intermatic timer will snap into Intermatic enclosure.
Other brands of timer can adapt to Intermatic enclosure using Tork IAP adapter bracket.

220 volt set up with three wires. Want to add timer that needs a neutral. Where does the neutral come from?

You can get neutral from nearby outlet.

I would like to replace five Intermatic wall switch timers (model WG230-6) that are not presently working.

The Intermatic E1020C timer is a 120 volt, single gang, single pole switch. This means it must ONLY be used on 120 volt circuits (to operate the internal timer motor), will fit into a standard electrical swithbox (does not require over or double sized boxes) and will replace a standard, single pole switch ie: has ONLY two terminal screws (not including the green ground terminal) and if a toggle type - has ON and OFF on the handle. The only additional requirement is that the switchbox will need hot (often black or red) & neutral (nearly always white) power in wires and hot (again, black or red) and neutral (again, nearly always white) power out (to the light or fan) wires. Many times, these devices are wired a little differently - with just 2 wires - instead of the four cited above. This is to provide power to keep the timer motor operating. The manual for this switch can be downloaded (and printed) here.

The part number of the old switch you provided does not appear to be correct. This number lends me to believe that it is for a 220-240 volt circuit. The closest I could find to an Intermatic part number was WG230-13. This part is the timer motor for replacement on a differnt style timer. It is indeed a 220 - 240 volt clock motor as I suspected. Please double check the brand and model number once more.

Lastly, if you can not find the info requested above, you should be able to replace the old timer with the new style - provided that the installation requirements cited in the first paragraph are met. Shut the power off before removing timers and switches and test with a working meter to be sure.

I hope this helps & good luck!

T104 double how do i install it on a 220 v hot water heater

Intermatic T104 is 240V timer with 240V clock motor.
Wiring diagrams are shown on links below:
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-wire-T104-Intermatic-timer.html

http://waterheatertimer.org/images/T-104-240-Volt-400.jpg

http://waterheatertimer.org/B220C.html
Terminal A is not used unless cable from breaker box has extra neutral wire. Extra neutral wire would connect to terminal A.
T104 has the extra terminal A since same mechanism is used for T103 120V timer that utilizes terminal A.

Also take advantage of fixya phone service.
For a price, expert speaks with you over phone while you work on timer or any do-it-yourself project.
