I had the same problem with my HK AVR 355 and The Bridge II. Yours has entered manual mode by itself?! You think the bridge it did by itself but You did it. I tell you how! I had the same problem but it's not problem but a lack of user's manual. In the automatic mode the searching through albums and artist on the on screen display is very slow. You are pushing and pushing and pushing the "menu" button. That was the problem! Connect your bridge and ipod and turn on the AVR. Switch to The Bridge as input. It will say that you are in manual mode. Push the menu button on the AVR's remote for a few seconds. And it will turn back to automatic mode!!! That's all! The real problem is neither of two manuals (The Bridge and AVR) tell any words about the function of holding down for seconds the menu button. Its function is to switch between manual and automatic mode!
I too was frustrated because of this. I played with the watch until I found the solution. Hope this helps!
For some reason I needed to be in the training mode to do this.
From the Time/Date mode, do the following: 1.) Press the start/stop button (upper metal button) to get out of Time/Date mode 2.) Press the Training side of the bezzle. You will see a workout display. 3.) Touch the GPS side of the bezzle until "to location" shows up 4.) Press the lap/reset button (lower metal button) to display a menu (may have to do this a couple of times, eventually when you release the button the menu does show up) 5.) Slide downward through the menu options until you find GPS 6.) Click the start/stop button (upper metal button) to toggle the gps on or off 7.) Press the lap/reset button (lower metal button) to exit the menu (goes to the "to a location" screen) 8.) Press and hold the Training side of the bezzle to return to your training screen
Push the menu button (the one one with the file folder) until "search" is displayed. Push the down arrow key 10 times until "advanced menu" is displayed. Push the right arrow button until "format" is displayed, select "Format ok" and push the play button. Problem solved.
