Are you looking for wireless network password? or router password?
if you are looking for wireless network password then you can simply login to Linksys EA3500 router setup page and check the wireless settings.
If you have already installed Cisco/Linksys Connect software on any of your main computer then you will find all the router settings using Connect software.
Remember, if you reset the router, it will come back to factory default settings and you will need to reconfigure it.

SOURCE: Password protection for my linksys wireless router

you need to get into the routers settings and look in the menu for security and select atleast WEP security and either you type a password in to reveal a 8 digit code or type in your own mixture of numbers and letters, which will then have to be entered into each pc when they try to connect. You can also look in the SSID and remove the name or dissable SSID so as your network will not appear on anybody elses wireless searches.

SOURCE: password for linksys

There is an administrative password to keep people from changing the router configuration.

And then there is wireless security (encryption with a passphrase or key -- like a password both your router and your wireless adapters know and others do not) to keep others from using your router----

First you must choose a common encryption strategy for your home network1.gif. (Yes I am assuming Home Network)

In most consumer routers you activate encryption on the wireless1.gif services of the router. After doing so you must also actiate encryption services on the wireless adapters1.gif that communicate with the wireless router. The names of the encryption services in the wireless router and wireless adapter are WPA and WEP. It is important to assure all wireless adapters to connect to the wireless router can handle the encryption chosen because the router will only perform one. There are options within each technique such as the number of bits of the keys -- the longer the better but only as long as the shortest device can support. WPA is preferable to WEP because it was designed to correct weaknesses in the WEP standard and implementation. However if there is even a single device to be connected that cannot do WPA you must do WEP or replace the device WPA in home systems often have a couple of other attribute being WPA-PSK and algorithm of TKIP -- which again every wireless adapter and the wireless router/access point must support.

To procede further in a sane manner you need to identify all wireless devices1.gif that will participate in your wireless network1.gif and determine their capablities for encryption. This is generally done searching manufacturer websites under support looking for user guides and firmware updates. Sometimes a devices capabilities in the manual require firmware updates to be true for the device. Once that is figured out the standards for your network can be set and the actual implementation can proceed. You will probably want a working wired computer to maintain access to the outside world for assistance if anything goes wrong. You also want to track your changes and know how to back things out incase things become too difficult.

If you have any additional questions or would like to a review of your plan or assistance determining a plan gather up the appropriate manufacturer's names and models and I will assist as time permits.

I hope this helps.

I forgot my password

Hi,
If you have forgotten the router password you can reset it.
To do this, turn the router upside down and look for a small pinhole that says reset. Get a stapler and press and hold the reset button for 5 seconds.
The router will reset to factory defaults and you will be able to login again using the default username and password. For linksys routers is "admin" for both fields.

Wireless access

Hello, If you haven't changed it from default the ID and Password will be "admin". If it has been changed and you've forgot, there is a reset hole on back. Reset to default. Address would be 192.168.1.1 from there you can change SSID and password or enable WEP or WPA. Hope this helps.
