When i use skype and try to call a contact, microphone does not work. on pannel control, microphone is not anable, what doing to get it working

In tools options audio is there a microphone selected? If not then select a microphone and see if the bar jumps when you talk. If there is another microphone available then try switching to that and seeing if the bar jumps when you talk. If none are available then skype does not recognize your microphone. Check if your computer recognizes your microphone by going to control panel -> hardware and sound -> manage audio devices -> recording and see if the bar next to the items moves when you talk. If not ensure they are enabled by clicking twice on the microphone and next to device usage select use this device (enable).

Sony vaio vgn-cs215j not work microphone let me help please.

Hi,

This will happen if the Microphone in the Computer is not enabled or if the Audio Driver is not installed correctly.

To make sure that you have enabled the Microphone in the computer, please right click on the Sound icon on the System Tray (right corner of the taskbar). Then, select the "Recording Devices" option. This will open the Sound Properties window. In the Speaker/Headphones Properties window, click on the Levels tab. Then, on the Levels tab, next to Microphone , click on the speaker button to enable the microphone. After that click the OK button and close the open windows. This will enable the Microphone in the Computer.

If the issue still persists, you may need to re-install the Audio Driver in the computer to fix it.

To download the Audio Driver for the Computer, click here

Please download the file to a temporary folder in the Computer. After that, please open the folder where the file is downloaded and double click on it to begin the installation. Please follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation process. After that, restart the Computer for the settings to take the effect. Re-installing the Audio Driver also fixes the issue with the Microphone. Hope this helps..

Good luck..!

Hello i have a toshiba l305 laptop and can't get the internal mic to work with any program that uses it

The Microphone might not be working, as it may not be enabled.
However, you may enable the Microphone manually by performing the below steps:
For Windows XP:

1) Double-click on the Volume Control. 2) Select the "Properties" option from the "Options" menu. 3) Select the "Recording" option in the "Adjust volume for" section. 4) Click the OK button. 5) Check the box labeled "Select" under the microphone volume and you should now be able to adjust the volume for the microphone.

For Windows Vista:
1) Right click Speaker near Clock - Recording Devices - right click in box - check 2) Show Disconnected Devices and Show Disabled Devices - check your mic - highlight them and then on lower right properties. 3) Make sure the proper one is enabled and check other settings - on Levels tab make sure MUTE is unchecked and APPLY / OK changes.

For Windows 7:

1) Right click on the volume icon in the system tray and then click “Recording devices”. 2) Right click on the blank place in the popped up window and then select “Show Disabled Devices” and “Show Disconnected Devices”. 3) Right click on Microphone and then click “Enable”. 4) Highlight the microphone and then choose “Set as Default Device”. 5) Click Apply. 6) Select Microphone and click on Properties. 7) Click on Levels tab. The default Microphone Boost is set to 0, increase it.
Hope this helps.

My Dynex headset with removable microphone does not work. The earphones are fine, but the microphone does not work.

Hello

Usually on default the microphone is not enabled in windows, so you have to do it manually. This is the steps you have to follow.

Control panel
Sound
Recording(or microphone heading, it may differ)
Enable microphone

Now it should work if it was not enabled in the first place.
If this does not work try plugging in the combo in the back panel of your case. or visa versa.
I hope this can help you. Please rate this.

Best regards
