Hello Friend, this is Z. I am happy to assist you!
I see that your question is listed under Frigidaire Upright Freezer; however, please help me understand the issue you are experiencing. Is your freezer showing error code OFF? If so, the temperature control is in the OFF position. When this occurs the temperature control turns off the compressor, but does not disconnect the power to the light bulb or other electronics. Let's try activating your freezer by pressing the UP arrow until display shows "4" or desired setting. Please allow 24 hours for temperature to stabilize. For future reference you can lock the control to keep from accidently changing the temperature setting. I hope these troubleshooting tips help you in some small way. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your freezer status has changed successfully.
I appreciate your inquiry, friend!
Based off what you have described your Frigidaire freezer is displaying an error code of 36 hours. Normally it will display that once power has been restored, it is indicating that the freezer has been without power for 36 hours. Hold the "alarm reset" for 3 seconds and that should help clear out the code. I hope this is helpful. -Matt
Good Afternoon edgar corro, thanks for your post!
Based off the information you have provided your Frigidaire freezer is displaying an error code "E8". An "E8" error code typically stands for a shorted thermistor this could be a possible miscommunication with the wiring harness, control board, or thermistor. Since it could be anyone of these underlying issues I would suggest contacting a professional technician since they have the appropriate tools to pinpoint the parts needed for repair. Best of luck! -Matt
Good Morning Stephanie Garcia, thank you for your post!
From the information you have provided your Frigidaire freezer is displaying an error code of "OF". Typically, an "OF" stands for power off, you should be able to press the up arrow three times in a row within five seconds to turn your freezer back on. If that does not help correct your issue you may want to perform a reset and you can do that by unplugging the power cord for roughly ten minutes. I hope this helps. -Matt
