Hi, If the pilot light goes out when you turn the gas knob to full power on lighting them the most likely cause will be a worn thermocouple, these usually last between 2 years up to 6 years. Found this site very helpful, patio heater problem solving. They have a few solutions to checking patio heaters.
What you have described is caused by a failed thermocouple or a dirty pilot. The piolt can be cleaned by using canned compressed air that has a straw nozzle (like you clean your computer with). Blow out the pilot tip with a couple of quick blasts of air, using the straw nozzle. If the pilot lights, but will not hold, the Thermocouple will need to be replaced. Blue Rhino makes just about all the patio and table top heaters under several different names. They are your best bet for finding a new thermocouple. You'll need the correct model number of your unit, to order the part.
Hope this helped you and thanks for choosing FixYa.
they will be air in the gas line , and the pilot injector being so small it will take ages for gas to come through , you need to purge the gas line undo a union or nut or pilot suppy to purge the line of air test joints after with soapy water .
I have a Charmglow Patio Heater Model SRPH02, it needed a
