I have a tplink PS310U MFC print server. I have managed to connect using a PC but there is no software for the Mac OS X. I am running Yosemite and can connect to the server for printing. However I can

Hi
If you can't scan then it sounds as if your computer doesn't have the appropriate driver installed for scanning. There are a lot of drivers and other downloads here:
Printers
including a scanner driver for MAC OS 10.3 to 10.7. Since Yosemite is 10.10, I don't know if this would work for you, but I think it your most promising solution.
It may be worth disconnecting the printer and connecting it directly to the computer. If it scans and prints when directly connected then it is likely that the print server is causing the problem and if as you say there is no Mac software for it you may be in a no-win situation. The fact that you can print through it however does mean there is hope, because I have found this page which is described as manual installation of the server on Mac OS here
FAQ ID 347 How to install Print Server manually on MAC OS
but the OS is 10.6.4 so, I'm not sure.
Not as helpful as I had hoped but perhaps you can get something from this screed

I just installed driver for my mac to mx2300n printer. When I print a page from my computer the printer heats up and acts like it is going to print, but never picks up a page from the tray and never prints...

For a Mac to print to the Sharp MX-2300N the Postscript Kit (MX-PKX1) has to be installed on the copier. If that is not installed you will not get any mac to print to it.

From mac leopard cannot print duplex on minolta qms 3100 printer

Hello, sorry you are having problems,
OK, are you sure your printer supports duplex printing and if you are sure you have the right driver installed, this is how you print in duplex mode on a Mac.
Open the document you want to print, Hit cmd+p to get the print dialogue window you should see this: 46da167.png

Notice you have the option of two sided printing in the same line as # of copies.
If you do not have this option in 10.5.6, then you might have the wrong driver, N.B. you must be sure to select the proper driver when you are creating the printer in the Print and Fax preference. Another way to ensure you have the driver properly installed, go to the manufacturer's website and download the Mac Driver Installer and run the installer, delete the printer you created and then re-create the printer again it should auto-recognize the printer..

Dsc328 will not print using a Mac

If your copier / printer does not have postscript 3 option installed, it will not print from MAC. Print a configuration page: "User tools", "Printer features" "list print" (or similar), "configuration page". Check under the heading of "printer languages"......you'll see stuff like "PCL 5c", "PCL 6", "RPCS", etc. If no "postscript 3", it is not compatible with your MAC, and you don't want to know how much that option is for your machine! Ridiculous!

Unable to install the Print Shop for Mac

Hi Penny Ray,

Print Shop Installer is part of the old OS9 operating system. "Classic Environment" was a form of OS-9-Lite that ran on-top of earlier versions of OS-X. It is not supported in Intel-based Macs, (and doesn't appear to be supported in OS 10.5, which is the current version).

What model Mac laptop and version of OS are you running? And more specifically, can you provide more detail about what are you hoping to print?

Please let me know when you can - thanks in-advance.

Jon

Macbook, lexmark f4270 driver

Apparently, the drivers for your printer is bundled in with the MAC OS CD. There are no MAC drivers on the Lexmark for your model. And the 4200 series should work.
Follow the instructions below.
Installing the bundled driver
Plug and Play
Steps Action 1 Power on the printer. 2 Plug the USB cable into the printer and into the Mac. 3 The Mac OS will automatically create the printer queue and install the printer.
Manual installation

If you plugged in the USB cable and the print queue was not created, follow these steps:
Steps Action Illustration 1 Plug the USB cable into the printer and into the Mac. ... 2 Launch System Preferences and select Print & Fax. Image 3 Click + to add the printer. Image 4 Select the printer, click Print Using and select your printer from the list. Then click Add to create the printer object. Image 5 Once the printer has been added, close System Preferences. The printer is now ready to print. Image
Troubleshooting
If you installed the driver from the printer·s installation CD or from a web download, uninstall it and follow the instructions below for recovering the driver from the Mac OS 10.5 (Leopard) CD.
Steps Action Illustration 1 Uninstall the installed driver. ... 2 Delete the Lexmark folder found in Library/Printers.
... 3
Insert the Mac OS 10.5 (Leopard) CD to recover the bundled driver and then click Optional Installs. Image 4 Click Optional Installs.mpkg. Image 5 Go through the installation process. ... 6 In the Optional Installs screen, select first Printer Drivers and then Lexmark Printer Drivers. Image 7 Click Continue and complete the installation process. ...
If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe
