Hello Jodi, thank you for your post!

Your Frigidaire washer (FAFS4474LW0) will automatically prompt you to run the CLEAN WASHER cycle typically every 50 cycles. If you wish to begin the cycle, press SELECT when prompted. This maintenance cycle uses hot water and two rinses to remove residue that may cause odor. For best results, I recommend to use the CLEAN WASHER cycle once a month

You may press the CANCEL button to manually perform the cycle at another time if you prefer. You can do this by following these directions:

·Rotate cycle knob to Rinse & Spin
·Then press the CLEAN WASHER option button
·The LCD screen will display "SYSTEM CLEAN"

    Hope this helps! - Z

Why wont my washer to perform the system clean cycle?

Hello Larry Occhipinti, thank you for your post!

If you are pushing the necessary buttons on your Frigidaire washer to perform a system clean and they are not working, it could be a possible issue within the control panel. I would recommend a reset on your appliance which can be done by disconnecting power from your appliance for roughly ten minutes. If that does not correct the issue, you can run a hot water wash cycle with a cup of bleach inside the tub to clean your appliance out as well. I hope this is helpful. -Matt

When i turn on my frigidaire affinity front load washer it beeps and LOC comes on the screen it will not do any thing I have unplugged for a while it still says samething with the door open or closed ....

The control lock feature has been activated. To toggle this off, press and hold Options and Select for 10+ seconds. There is a small padlock indicated in the middle of a line between the buttons that toggle the lock on and off. This feature prevents anyone from changing a wash program when in use or a child starting a cycle with the cat or another child in the washer.

The manual for most Frigidaire appliances are available here: http://www.frigidaire.com/manuals . Enter the model number and click Search. Frigidaire lists several models of the Affinity ATF7000E. The direct link to the operating instructions manual for the ATF7000ES0 is here: http://manuals.frigidaire.com/prodinfo_pdf/Webster/134602700ef.pdf . In this manual, the control lock is described on page 2.

I hope this helps.

Frigidaire Affinity washer

Suggestion:
Plug off the mains. You have to look for screws below the front kick-panel, the panel comes down & out. The pump is on the right side. Be prepared for dirty water. There is a drain hose here, disconnect & drain out. There could be a lot of water. Inside the big flexible tube (coming from the tub bottom) is the filter, be prepared to find all sorts of junk here, clean out. Examine your pump also, clean out the impeller. Carefully refit all. Your machine would be fine. Don’t wait for the machine to jam to look into your filter.
For some front loader models after removing the panel, the filter is in the compartment having the white screw able lid. The big hose from the bottom of your tub leads to this compartment.

Try holding the 'options' & 'select' buttons together till the door lock button comes on. This is the child lock function. You can do it again for the lock to come off. Hold down for over 3 seconds
