It keeps stating Motion Card lock after it times out and is supposed to be ready for motion to be detected and take pictures..
SOURCE: sd locking
I had this problem also. To solve the problem I blew into the slot where the card goes and it then read the card. If dirt gets into the port it causes the sd card to lock. You may have to use a pressurized can of eletronic spray to clean the port.
It worked for me.

..your not in "Interval Mode", are you?? IF your cam is set to start an "interval @ say 2400hrs( midnight) and to take pics every 1 min./5 min/;ect., IT WILL!
Make sure you're in "AUTO MODE"...It's easy to accidently hit the mode switch when moving the power switch from off to on..(I didn't find this out by reading a book...)
SOURCE: Moultrie MFH-DGS-200 .... says SD Card Locked on
I had the same problem with my game cam this year and after disassembling the camera and looking at the SD card assembly I fixed it using the following technique. My assumption is that the SD card assembly is poorly constructed and that the card is not making good contact with the contact springs inside the SD card connector.
1. I removed the sd card
2. I folded a piece of notebook paper so that it was about the width of the sd card slot and about as thick as 3 sheets of notebook paper.
3. I slid the folded paper into the SD card slot
4. With the paper still in the sd card slot, I slid in the SD card on top of it with the contacts facing up (the correct direction). This made the sd card fit much more snug in the slot.
5. I turned the camera on, and left the paper in the slot with the SD card.
The camera then recognized the SD card every time.
Hope this works for you too.
The most common cause of this is the contacts inside the camera in the card slot are dirty. You can blow the card slot out with compressed air and you can also clean the contacts on the card with a q-tip and alcohol OR a pencil eraser. Then try again.
