The electronic volume control section circuit is faulty. The system control section tries to adjust the volume, by sending command voltage to the volume control section circuit, but this circuit do not accept or process it. Troubleshooting to this type of fault, is skilled one. Contact any service technician, or the service center.

Volume at max and won't go down

This sounds like a common problem on these TVs. Try a factory reset:

1. Press and hold "Menu" and "Channel+" on the TV. (do not use the remote)
2. Using the other hand, press the Power button.
3. A small screen should appear in the top left part of the screen.
4. Using the remote, select "Memory Recall" and Enter.
5. Power off and reboot the TV and Computer.
6. Run channel auto-scan to regain the picture.

there may be some other source of intereference within the area that you have the tv placed try moving it to a different area and see if that works you are dealing with electron magnetic interference and infared waves

Sony model KDL-32L5000 does not respond to the commands of its remote control model RM-YD028. We have been using a Direct TV remote as well to control volume but its not reacting this remote either...

If the only thing not reacting is the audio, then the audio board or the main board has gone bad. Enter the model number and tv make on you tube to get more detailed info.

My KDS-R60XBR1 turn up volume to maximum loud and stays loud

Question:
Take the batteries out of both the remotes and then try to turn the TV on with it's On/off switch built into the TV.
If it turns on and the volume stays the same, then it must be an issue with one of the remotes.
If the tv turns on and the volume ramps up to max. Please check if volume knobs/buttons on the tv itself to see if they are sticking.
If they aren't, there is something wrong with one of the boards in the tv of course. This sure should be something a Sony Service Shop can fix. I don't think it will be expensive. Maybe a $100 to $200 repair if they do the work.

WON'T CHANGE CHANNELS ADJUST VOLUME OR SHUT OFF

If the volume buttons work when using the Radio, then the buttons on the Remote are fine.
Now if the volume on your TV is set to MAX and you can barely hear it.
The issue lies with your TV.. ()
Now if I understand correctly or if I am to assume you are using a Reviever.
If the reciever is used for all volumes... If this is the case.
I also assume the volume on the TV Speakers is set to off
Therefore when you use the Radio/DVD the volume control is using the Reciever volume.
and when you switch to TV it uses the TV volume thus the TV volume is not gonna work as well.
2 scenarios
1 The TV volume even at max is not giving you enough power to get the low receiver volume
2 the Receiver volume is at max and barely audible.. if this is the case just manualy adjust your TV volume to get it to a decent sound level.

Hard to explain but I know the 2 issues can be fixed.
