Re: Why Kenwood DDX319 won't play video from iPod?
The iPod, does not play video via the connector, nor bluetooth to any device. You only can play MP3 to another device. Only when connected with the cable it will show the images when they are in the MP3 tag file. The pictures are not shown when connected to bluetooth.

You can watch video on the Kenwood DDX771 receiver's ... Hi, I ordered ddx771 and I can't get my iPhone to play music through the usb.
I had a similar problem with the DDX470 in a 2003 Hyundai Sonata. Turns out the car has a factory installed amplifier so the Blue/White wire had to be connected to the Blue/White wire on the wiring harness I had connected to the car. Let me know if you have this wire connected or not, and what type of vehicle you are installing the stereo into.
If it won't take it but runs ok then don't bother doing it. Some updates will not work on older units so as long as u are up and running then forget trying to update any more. I hv several "older" units and none take the new updates. cheers
make sure that you have updated the kenwood to the latest software for the ipod--at kenwoods site--What cable are you using to hook up to the kenwood, hope you are not using the usb cable cause that won't work , you have to have a KCA-Ip301V ipod video cable. Here is the firmware link you need-- http://www.kenwood.com/cs/ce/mm/firmware/2010/2010c/eng.html
