Font size is regulated by the document written and the software used to write the document..

SOURCE: P Touch 1880 indicates MAX

Sounds like you may have a maximum length set that keeps you from printing over a certain length of label and it is adjusting your font size to fit that length. You may need a manual to figure out how to reset the length.

How to Unlock a 16GB iPod Touch

How to Unlock a 16GB iPod Touch
Apple's iPod Touch comes with a screen lock feature that allows you to set a four-digit security code to prevent others from using your iPod. Every time the iPod locks, you must enter this code to unlock the screen and access the user interface. Entering the wrong code too many times, or simply forgetting your security code, can cause you to be completely locked out. When this happens, you can quickly
Instructions
1Connect your iPod Touch to the computer you usually sync it with. When you disconnect your iPod, it should now be unlocked.
2 If Step 1 does not work, you have to restore your iPod Touch. Be advised that restoring your iPod Touch returns it to the original factory settings. This means that all your songs and files will be deleted and lost. You can resync your files to your iPod from iTunes once you have finished restoration. Connect your iPod to your computer and open iTunes. Make sure you have the latest version of iTunes before proceeding.
3 In the left navigation panel in iTunes, select your iPod under the "Devices" section. Click the "Summary" tab and select "Restore."
4 When iTunes prompts you about backing up your data, click "Back Up." In the following window, click "Restore."
5 After the restore process completes, you will see the Apple logo on the screen of your iPod. Leave your iPod connected to your computer until it shows up again on the iTunes navigation panel.
6 Your iPod touch is now unlocked. In iTunes you will be able to setup your iPod. Select the backup you made in the drop-down menu to restore your data files. Click "Continue" to finish the restoration.

Tips & Warnings
Apple notes that the company will not be able to help you unlock your iPod if you forget the security combination. Your only choice is to restore the device to the original factory settings.

Font Sizes more than 72

72 is the max size in the menu, if you want a larger font just type a larger number in the same drop down menu and press enter.

Increase font size beyond 72

With most programs, if you want a font size beyond the listed max, simply type it in the box. Highlight the 72 and type whatever number you want, such as 144 or something. It works going the other way too. With Truetype fonts, you can use a very tiny number too, such as 2 points or less, almost to the point of the microprinting you find on checks.

P Touch 1880 indicates MAX font size, but prints smaller sized label. If I print one word at a time, it prints in MAX size. If I print two or more words, it prints smaller font. Weird, new problem.

Sounds like you may have a maximum length set that keeps you from printing over a certain length of label and it is adjusting your font size to fit that length. You may need a manual to figure out how to reset the length.
