Connect your satnav to the computer and run the Webupdater program
Webupdater will search for updates to your satnav operating system. Accept any updates it finds and they will be installed. When the update is complete it will offer you optional updates including VOICE FILES.
Tick the English speaking voice files you want to select them and click "continue" or "next" They will be downloaded to your satnav.
You then need to repeat the process described in paragraph 1 above to select an English speaking voice.
For your GPS to speak, please select the sound files. Procedure explained below. Please note that although all GPS speak, only those that has an "S" in their Name (for example: ONEXL 340S) speak the street names. If there is no S at the end of their name, you can select any sound file for your GPS to speak.
Not all sound files speak out the street names. If you would like to have the street names spoken, you need to select a voice that ends with computer. For example, the voice file selection: Simon, English UK, Computer will speak street names. But the voice file, Bonnie, English US, will not speak Street names. Dave, English US, computer will give you street names but Lori or Mandy, English US will not.Procedure to get the street names spoken: Tap on main screen. Tap on change preferences. Tap on arrow. Tap on change voices. Tap (select) a voice that ends with computer. Tap select. Tap done till you reach the main screen.

The speaker's voice coil likely has overheated, and now it is rubbing on the insides of the speaker magnet. This causes very garbled sound. All Sunkyong Early Warning radar detectors provide horrible radar detection performance. You should seriously consider getting a much better radar detector.

All of the Garmin automotive GPS units that speak streetnames are also loaded with basic voice prompts (i.e. 'Turn Right in 500 feet') as well as 'text-to-speech' voices that speak streetnames. If one of the basic types of voice prompts has been selected, the voice prompts will not speak streetnames. In order to change this setting on the nüvi line of products, please follow these steps:
In the Main Menu, tap on the Settings icon.
