make sure your antenna is hooked up properly, with even a bad antenna you should be able to pick up some stations

Although you can send faxes from your computer, I regret to inform you that the S405 printer software does not have the option to pick up faxes. For the receiving option, you can only configure the fax receive settings using the printer software.
I'm sorry if did not have the answer you expected.

First verify pressure of the spare tire as well as the others with a good meter. This has been a common cause. If all 5 tires are OK, please let me know so we can go through a few tests.

You can get the number if you have caller id.

It is probably set to manual receive, meaning you have to pick up the receiver, then hit start to receive the fax. I'm sorry I don't know specifically where to find this setting on your model but if you can find it in your menus, you should be able to switch to auto receive to eliminate this.

on the front display you will see a recieve button and you need to press this and you will see on the display it say either fax...fax/tel.. auto press the button until fax shows thsi means it is only being used as a fax so the line will auto pick up... if you set it to auto it will ring check the line and if it finds its a fax it will put it through as one if not it will ring you phone.. good luck

YOU NEED TO HAVE THE MACHINE ON FAX ONLY OR TAD WHICH STANDS FOR TELL ANSWERE DEVICE

You must set the FAX RECEIVE MODE to FAX ONLY. The factory default is FAX/TELEPHONE. You can find the proceedure to change FAX RECEIVE MODE in your owners manual. IIf you don't have an owners manual, try pressing the MENU button, then scroll to one of the following: INITIAL SET-UP, FAX SET-UP, OR FAX RECEIVE MODE. One of these should get you to the FAX ONLY receive mode setting.
