I have Goodmans LCD GTVL32W17HDF. when i put to TV its works Better but when i put to DTV only the sound i hear no pictures,how can i get this fix

hello martin, go into the dtv menu and select first time installation it should search for channel fingers crossed.

sounds like one of the Inverter transformers is bad or has a solder issue

TRY AND RETUNE .THIS IS DONE IN THE LCD MENU

The LCD backlight is faulty. it may be due to bad capacitors or a faulty inverter controller. Bad capacitors can be easily replaced. A faulty inverter controller is a bit more tricky but it can also be replaced.

use a freeview box, turn the dtv off in the menu

To get it too power on press the source button a lot after a (good) few trys your get it up on another source, my own tv does this and using a freeview/freesat box makes it use-able just a pain to turn on in the first place even if you turn the dtv off in the menu

If anyone knows how to get it to turn on stright to another source would be great to know how

If you have sound, then your tv doesn't need tuning. Shine a bright light onto the screen, can you see a very dim picture? If so, your backlight has stopped working. This is almost always due to the inverters failing and can be repaired.
