What is the minimum compression for my STIHL chainsaw? Generally the minimum is 110 lbs. of compression.

These things may be found on Stihl's website. Accordingly it says the spark plug gap should be 0.020". You may also download or request a hard copy of a manual for your saw at the same site.

measure your plug gap on old plug then down 2 thuosand of inch that will give you gap shop trick

According to page 62 in the Stihl user manual:

Spark plug (resistor type): Bosch WSR 6 F
Electrode gap: 0.02 in. (0.5 mm)

it should be 0.5mm/0.02" (A)

look up the manual for the model you have
it tells you in it what it is ....

I guess you have sorted this one by now.
However if not makers recommend 0.020 inch (20 thou gap), however I have found that 0.025 (25 thou gap is more versatile for both starting and running.

the air gap is about a business card thick and the plug gap is .020. Stihl has a special tool to measure exact air gaps so the business card is close

Here is the manual. The spark plug gap should be .5mm or .02 inches which is 20 thousandths. The spark plug info is on page 55 of the manual under " Ignition System "
