SOURCE: Don't have the access code

Depending on how option 54 is set the default master codes are 123456, 12345, 1234 or 123. The default Utility codes (1-Dealer, and 2-Installer) are 654321, 54321, 4321 or 321. If you get any of these to work, you can follow these steps to reset the memory to factory defaults:

  1. Open panel cover and enter in code that worked from above.
  2. Unplug the transformer and disconenct the battery.
  3. Simultaneously press and hold - Cancel, ClockSet, and Minutes +.
  4. Restore the power to the panel with the battery while pressing these three buttons. The panel should respond "Hello. System XX OK"
  5. Release the buttons and plug in the transformer to the outlet.

If your problem ain't fixed and the system is not in the trashcan yet, try this:
Open panel and enter Utility access code (654321 / 54321 / 4321 / 321), mostly it's 4321, unless someone changed the code.
Unplug from powersource and unplug battery.

Now comes the fun part....

Press Cancel + Clock set + Minutes+ at the same time and restore the power with the battery.
If it says "Hello, System XX OK" you've reset the panel to factory settings and can set up the whole system from the beginning.

SOURCE: Hello I have a simon 3 and need to reset the

You can change the master code only if you have the installer code. If you don't have the installer code, the only way I know of to reset the master code is to reset it to factory defaults. This does mean that you will have to completely re-progam the system. I would document as much stuff as you can from the display before resetting it. If you don't have a copy of the installation manual I am providing a link below. Hope this helps.

There are many kind of passwords: master, dealer, user 1,2,3,4

You have to enter to the programing mode the default is 4321
if this does not work you have to get the code from the company who sold it to you, so you can entrer the access code level which is the first section that appear once you have enter the right installer code after you reach the system programing section. GE Simon - Reset Installer Code & Remove Sensors

I am sure you already guessed this but it appears someone has changed the default installer code. Using the default installer, dealer, or master codes defeat the purpose of a security system as most criminals know the default codes. The only way I know of to regain control of this panel is to reset it to factory defaults. This does mean that you will have to completely re-progam the system. I would document as much stuff as you can from the display before resetting it. If you don't have a copy of the installation manual I am providing a link below. Hope this helps.

Program

On Simon panels, the master code should default to 1234 if it's been powered down for several hours (I can't remember how long, at least four hours, possibly 12-16). So, unplug it from the wall and disconnect the system battery and leave it for the night. Power it up by plugging in the battery first and plug it into the wall. Then enter the code as 1234. It should annouce that the alarm system is disarmed. If so, your code is 1234. ;)

When removing the battery, be very careful to not break the little tab that holds it shut! Can't stress that enough.

Don't have the access code

Do you mean the access code for turning off an alarm or arming the system before leaving? If so, NO. You would have to know the original code to even enter programming to change the access code. Contact your realtor and have them get you in contact with the previous owner. Find out the code from them. If they properly removed their code before moving from the house use the default code, 1234. Good Luck.
