Chances are, the rubber seal is worn on the control knob. Make sure both hot and cold knobs are turned off. Take the handle off the shower control. Take off the chrome ring. You will see a nut around the shaft. You will need a special socket to take loosen the nut. If the hole is large enough you might get a pair of plyers on the nut. This will let you pull the control shaft out and replace the washer. Make sure you use a flashlight and see if the seat is damaged before replacing. Make sure you tighten the rubber very tight, as it will tend to loosen.

Our shower valve will not shut off on new install

It's not clear whether you installed this yourself or whether a plumber did the install. I suspect it's a DIY effort, so you may have to de-install the unit and return for an exchange. A reputable plumber would have checked the unit out before leaving your home.

Why do I only have hot water in the shower

sounds like either the cold water that feeds the other half got shut off, or the mixer in the valve for controlling the water temperature is broken....most likely the water got shut off. better go to the water source and trace the cold water feed pipe ,looking for a shut off valve....it could also be behind the shower panel, then turn or rotate the valve the other way and go test the water to see if you can adjust the temperature now.....if not, then replace your hardware.......in the mean time, you could turn the temperature down on the water heater so that you won't scald yourself in the shower til you have time to fix it properly.

My triton shower won't turn off and has no hot water

Your supply pressure is too high for the unit, it is too much for the solenoid to shut off, you need to put a pressure limiting valve inline.

My creda shower 8500dl won't shut off water keeps

Switch off the power at the main switchbox!

Unscrew the shower cover to reveal the main valve/switch assembly (green in my case)

On the green valve you can line up the bit that moves to select power settings and remove it

Undo the two screws holding the outer switch frame and lift it off

Undo the two screws holding the valve body in.

Remove the valve body, underneath you will find an ordinary tap washer - probably split

Replace the washer - I didnt have an exact match in my toolbox but drilled the middle out of a large tap washer to match

Reassemble..

The 'boost' button on my aqualisa digital shower won't switch off. It comes on when I press the shower on (without actually pressing the boost button) and when I press the boost button to try...

Good Morning drlesleyanne. The issue you describe will down to the PCB inside the push button controller. If this does not send the correct signal to the processor box it can cause the unit to 'fail safe' and this is why the unit needs a power reboot. The remedy to this is to replace the push button control itself and once installed should allow the shower to work correctly again. All our digital products have five year guarantees, so you can always call our Customer Service line on 01959 560010 and they will replace this for free.

Kind Regards,

Bath tube plumbing is making vibrating sound then shutting off

Replace the cartridge even if its new. The vibrating is from the internal workings of the stem. It also effects the volume of water.

good luck, Phil
