Check the interlock tab (upright models) or the hinge or latch switch (front-load.) Sometimes these switches break or simply come loose.

Hi where can I find the interlock tab? I am so stuck on my one. It doesn't spin and makes noise, and it surely won't drain properly? Please help me.

It sounds like your outlet is clogged. Unplug the Washer first. You need to take off the back, there is a plastic piece attached to the hose where the water comes out. It may look like an enclosed bowl. Items that get sucked in, socks, scarves, etc... tend to get caught into this. If it is supposed to be clear, but it isn't, then there is something stuck in there. You must pull it apart and remove the laundered item.

A way to avoid this happening in the future, if this is the cause, is to put small washable items in the center of the load. Do not overload the washer.

Thank you for contacting Fixya. Does this help? Let us know.

Testimonial: "Hi ours is a front loader it has a filter inside the drum, which you have to align with the drum to get to i have checked that filter it just had lint it is impossible for anything as large as a sock to go further than that filter, i took the hose of the plastic mount and held it lower than the machine & all the water drained, plugged washer back in and started a load it actually filled up with water for about 1 minute then cut off again back to " end load ""

There is a rubber tube that goes from the outside of the outer plastic bowl up to the pressure switch in the top panel. It is on the left rear corner. It may have been pulled off the pressure switch. Look under on that corner and locate where it is attached to the plastic bowl. if that is OK then follow the tube up and check top connection.
Hope this will help you.

Sometimes the switch goes out (that little thing you held your finger on to keep it running). That's ~$20 to fix. If the washer runs, fills with water and won't spin once it reaches the spin cycle you probably need a new motor.

sounds like the washer water inlet valve is bad or the water pressure/level switch is bad or clogged or disconnected.  without knowing model hard to diagnose beyond this.

Wixe127 indesit wash machine gets to 1 minute left on wash cycle and just keeps running with 1 minute on display

If all you are getting is a wash cycle and not a spinning cycle this could indicate a faulty door switch. the machine will not allow a spin cycle unless the door is locked.

Washer will not drain after wash cycle or the spin cycle

check to see if your pump is slightly plugged with a sock or ?

Your top loader should pump out in about a minute and a half when totally full of water.

Bosch washer spin only

Had a repair man here for the same issue. Learned two things:

1. Too much detergent causes 'soap lock.' The electronics will get confused when there's too many suds left after a rinse and shut the spin cycle down. That's why re-running the entire cycle without more detergent solves the problem. Use less detergent.

2. There is a way to manually get the spin cycle to run using diagnostics codes. Here's what my guy did:

a. Washer selection knob in OFF position.
b. Hold the 'Spin Selection' and 'Delay Start' buttons down at the same time.
c. While holding those two buttons, turn the Washing selector knob to Permanent Press-Cold.
d. Keep the buttons held down until the LCD control panel reads 'P:01'
d. Release buttons.
e. Use the 'Spin Selection' button to cycle thru the codes. Stop when it reads 'P:04' which is the spin cycle.
f. Press 'Start/Pause' button to begin the spin cycle.

I don't know what the other codes do but this should save you from having to run the entire wash cycle.

Hope that helps! Tim
