When you change batteries the combination that you programmed into the the Sentry Safe will delete and you will get the red light error signal. At A1 Locksmith Service we recommend that you use the original master code that came with the Sentry Safe. If you can not find your owners manual with the master combination. Addtional help can be provided at A1 Quality Safe. (650) 240-5505

I did use the original master combination. Do I need to change batteries, and if so, how?

SOURCE: sentry safe, enter codes and nothing

These safe are easily opened by a good locksmith. So if you have items in the safe you need to get out a safe and vault tech could drill it open and repair it for a small fee. I really don't think it is the chip probably just a stuck solinoid.

SOURCE: sentry 1610 safe - battery is dying?

I have 2 Sentry 1610 Safes. A fresh alkaline battery MAY open the safe once (maybe twice), and then the same problem. I have a variable DC power supply that I hook up to the battery terminals, set to 9 volts and increase the current until the keypad responds & the deadbolt releases. Sentry has no solution for this problem, as this model is too old & they have no parts or troubleshooting. If you know someone with a small DC Power Supply, you can get your safe open / closed.

I have bought a used red head safe. It's open but I can't get it to close. Also, I don't have a combination for it and I'd like to make up my own. Can you help me?

Most likely it will not close because the lock has been activated while the door was open. Probably need to take it to a locksmith.

How do i set code for paragon safe

INITIAL BATTERY INSTALLATION
1. Remove the key plate cover, insert the key into the keypad and open the door.
2. Remove the battery cover plate located on the inside of the door.
3. Install 4 AA batteries provided and replace the battery cover.
NOTE
: If both the red and green lights are on while the safe is open, this indicates that the batteries are low and need
to be changed.

TO SET UP OR CHANGE A USER CODE
1. With the door open, locate the red button on the back of the door near the hinge.
2. Press the red button and listen for the beep.
3. Immediately enter your new passcode (3-6 digits long)
4. Immediately after entering your new passcode, press the "A" or "B" button on the keypad. Your new user passcode is now stored.
NOTE:
This safe stores up to 2 passcodes (a user code and a manager code). Entering a third code will erase the
first passcode entered.

SETTING UP OR CHANGING A MANAGER PASSCODE
1. Open your safe with the passcode you wish to change and leave the door ajar.
2. Press the "0" button on the keypad twice. Press the red button, listen for a beep and then enter your new user passcode.
New user passcodes may be 3-6 digits long.
3. Immediately after entering your new code, press the "A" or "B" button on the keypad. Your user code is now changed.
OPENING THE SAFE
1. Input your code and then press the "B" button, the green light will turn on.
2. Turn the knob clockwise within 5 seconds to open the door.
3. Each key pressed will be accompanied by a buzzer and a yellow flashing light. If the entered code is invalid the yellow light will
flash and the buzzer will quickly sound, this indicates the code needs to be re-entered.

CAUTION
: Entering the incorrect passcode 3 times will lock the system for 20 seconds.

HOW DO i CHANGE THE CODE ON MY EA25 SAFE?

Hi

To change the code open the safe, press the red button and the yellow light goes on, indicating that enter the state to change the code. Input the new code (1 to 8bits), then press ‘B’ or ‘A’ button, it will be confirmed by two beeps, indicating that the new code have been accepted and stored. However, if the yellow flash with the buzzer beeps three times means the new code is invalid and should operate again.

Hope this helps

Where do i get instructions for changing the code on my hardline digital safe. The instruction paper that came with it appears to be for another safe. the paper mentions a red button where no red button...

I had this exact same problem. Then I realized the red reset button was actually INSIDE the safe itself. So you need to enter the factory default code "159" to open the safe, then on the inside of the safe next to where the batteries are is a red button. If you press that, the yellow light will flash and you'll get two beeps. That means you can now enter your own combination. I hope this helps.

Lost instructions for sandleford E.S.20 safe

The operating instructions on the ES20 as per the crappy manual:

Open safe using emergency key provided

Insert batteries in the box inside the door

Opening the safe
a. pre-set factory code 159
b. input 159 (the yellow light will flash and the buzzer will beep), then press B or A button, the green light will be on, rotate the knob clockwise, pull outwards, the door is opened

Closing the safe: close the door, input the code (the green light will flash for 5 secs). Turn the knob anti clockwise, the control system will activate and the safe will be locked

Changing the code: open the safe, press the red button located inside the door, the yellow light will go on indicating the code can be changed. Input the new code (1-8 digits), then press A or B button, it shall be confirmed by two beeps indicating the new code has been accepted and stored. If the yellow light and buzzer beeps 3 times the code is invalid - try again

Emergency Key - store in secure place NOT inside the safe. Remove the override cover in the centre of the face of Safe (its a silver plastic panel with Sandleford Electronic Safe ES20 on it), insert override key (a cyclinder key) - hidden underneath the override cover panel - and turn anti clockwise, rotate the knob clockwise to open door

Changing the Battery - If the red and green light are on this indicates that the batteries are low and require changing. To ensure the batteries have been installed correctly test before closing the door
