If you are using rechargeable Ni-MH batteries discharge fully using the camera facility. Recharge and then discharge again. Recharge and hopefully the problem will be resolved.
Good luck

SOURCE: shutter lag on fuji finepix s7000 - is there a solution ?
2 things - you could do 1 or both, depending on the photographic situation:
1) If you can choose manual focusing, select manual focussing & prefocus on subject. This eliminates the need to refocus. I do this lots with the S9500 model.
2) If you can shoot in manual mode, use auto exposure to see what shutter speed & aperture the camera selects when the camera is pointed at the ground (or other suitably lit spot). Change to manual exposure & set the aperture & shutter speed indicated by the camera in AUTO mode.
Once you do either or both of these you will get instantaneous shutter release.
Practise on unimportant subjects first and see how you go.

Your camera is a seven year old model using a 3.1MP sensor which has been out of production for a long time. I've just checked my parts catalogues going back to 2007 and the sensor had already been de-listed back then and the part is not listed on any of the trade sites I subscribe to. Even good used examples of your model are proving to be as rare as rocking horse droppings.
The only way you'll find one is by pure luck as an NOS (new old stock) item. There are bound to be some around but the nature of most NOS parts is that they lie around in boxes completely forgotten until the owner has a clear out and then they usually end up on auction sites. One eBay trader (romancamerarepair) has been listing 602z parts recently but hasn't listed the part you're after, but you have nothing to lose by asking at http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/romancamerarepair/
Sther than that, it's probably time to sell your camera for "spares or repair" and buy a newer replacement. It's a real shame as the 602 zoom is a fine camera but like all digital cameras it was never destined to last as long as a good 35mm film camera.
Not the answer you were hoping for, I'm sure, but I hope that you still found it to be helpful. All I ask in return is that you return the favour by rating my answer.
Testimonial: "very helpful"
