The tv power light will change from red to green on and off but no picture or sound at all
The problem is in the Main board that also incorporates the T-Con unit. You will be looking for a surface mount capacitor. Look for IC 6201. Next to the two legs of IC6201, there will be a capacitor. The location of this capacitor is C6212. Wick out capacitor C6212. Do not replace the surface mount capacitor. Your TV will come back to life!! Thanks for listening, Matt of Martins TV Repair.
You need to describe what is the source. Sometimes the input selected on the TV needs to be changed. Try pressing a video or source button on the TV itself to see if you're looking at the right input source. Sometimes you will have five or more inputs like HDMI and Composite. Look at where you connected the input signal and see what it's called, then look for that input on a menu of some sort.

Or www.digikey.com, just make sure to use caps with low ESR, 105c, high ripple current and long life rating such as PANASONIC FM or FC series.
sounds like bad capacitors on the power board. Very common problem. I would look at the caps if any appear even slightly rounded on top they are bad. They should be perfectly flat on top any puffing up means replace that cap.
