I had the same problem. Error code E04 with a full load of laundry and water in the washer. Unplug the power to the washer. Take off the round cover plate in the front right. Mine did not turn clockwise or counter-clockwise, it was completely stuck. Used two flat tip screwdrivers to carefully pry it away, without damaging anything. The plate is a hard plastic but just pliable enough.
Once removed, you will see the pump (img_0001). Unscrew the pump cover slowly. There will be water coming out, so be prepared. In my case we had a LOT of water, so I drained it gradually into a couple of large garbage bags. Wrap the bag opening tightly against the pump surround to minimize spills (img_0002).
Once all the water is gone, remove the pump cover and clean out any items trapped in the pump and in the drain from the drum (img_0003). In my case it was some loose change and a small ColorCatcher sheet. Reassemble the pump and you're done.

This is a trouble code for a fill that is taking to long. Make sure that both the hot and cold water valves are turned on. Hope this helps.

Absolutely those dryer sheets are the root of all evil....I would also recommend a good vent brush to clean your dryer vent.
Follow these steps, it worked for me:
1. use a shop vacuum to clean out the dry vent or a vent brush.
2. Clean your lint filter with windex, hot water and and soft bristle brush.
If this doesnt work try running the until disconnected from the vent for a cycle to isolate the vent as your issue.
Cheers!

There should be a filter located at the bottom right front of washer behind drop down flap or plastic cover.
Unscrew anti-clockwise to remove and clean.

Check that the w/m is level (not necessarily with a spirit, just that it doesn't rock and roll), lock the foot nuts up to the machine. Check the pump filter and outlet pipes for blockages. A machine will be noisy if it taking to long to discharge the waste water. If you have moved the w/m and are in a hard water area, you may have dislodged built up lime and that has created the problem, run a heavy duty descaler (designed for w/ms) through the w/m.
Good luck

You need to check the drain pump externally to see if the pumping is good Also remove the drain hose clamps and remove the drain hose flushing to clear off all dirt. Now test using power to see if this works and can be simulated. When refitting, the hose must be tightened properly. If the pump/valve does not work even with power then it must be replaced. If there is intermittent power to the drain valve/pump then the program controller unit is a suspect.

Finally the washer must be placed with a tilt- use a spirit level- so that all water will drain to the outlet port and thereby there is no residual water remaining.
