That is correct. The date setup only affects pictures when they are taken; it will not alter pictures that have already been taken.
If you want to remove the date from a picture that already has it, you have to remove it the same way you would remove any other unwanted object from the picture.
You cannot change the dates on the taken photos using the camera.
Copy the pictures to your PC, and use a graphic editor to put the new date.
It is a very difficult task to change the date displayed. Therefore insert a button-like graphic on top of the date and put the correct date over that.
That date is part of the picture once it is taken, the only way to remove it is with software like Adobe Photoshop and you can use the Clone Stamp tool to copy a similar part of the picture and basically cover it up. With some practice you can remove it without being able to tell it was ever there.
Press MODE, then use the multiselector to select the wrench icon and press OK. Use the multiselector to select "Date" and press OK. Use left/right to move between fields and up/down to change them.
This won't change the date on pictures already taken.
no you cannot edit the date imprint within the camera once its been clicked. you can just turn that setting off so that the date dosnt show up on the picture or change the date in your camera & click pictures again to your desired date
Special software can do this. Search the web for a program like the following. Change date and time on files. Changing date and time on files on hard drive. I have some software from this company, great stuff. No-nonsense-software
Turning the date stamp off will only work for future pictures you take...The only way to remove the date on the pictures you have already taken is to do a crop or photshop the area...
