Horizontal over scan , one H.V. cap is out of tolerance in hoz deflection
Fair Cost to fix 75.00 could be a few leaky diodes to. in addition to the cap

The picture is too big for the screen and it cuts off the bottom of what would should see and the tops of everyones heads. We tryed resetting and everything else. Any ideas???

You are in the zoom mode, look for 'WIDE' and 'ZOOM +/-' buttons on your remote.

mine did not fix, picture is still huge and pushed to bottom of screen so the top is black all the way across

Press "wide mode" on TV remote until it is on "full". Check for same on set-top box.

The tops of everyones head is cut off the bottom and sides are also cut off

Check your manual and change your aspect ratio.

if thats not it check your controller board.

Picture is cut off at the top and bottom of the screen - The top of the head is cut off and any writing on the bottom Help!

Look on your remote to see if you have a picture butto or you can try and go to the menu settings and see if you can adjust the tv format from widescreen to regular or 4:3 or 16:9

Have you tried the "Aspect" button below the menu keys of the remote? Try "Full" Aspect and see if this improves things for you.
