Check your manual and change your aspect ratio.

Look on your remote to see if you have a picture butto or you can try and go to the menu settings and see if you can adjust the tv format from widescreen to regular or 4:3 or 16:9

Have you tried the "Aspect" button below the menu keys of the remote? Try "Full" Aspect and see if this improves things for you.
