If I take your statement literally, it would be easy to be a smarta** and say that the washer needs electricity to operate. But I am assuming you are trying to say that the washer doesn't work now that power has been restored.
That being assumed, there is a high probability that either when the power went down, or came back up, there was some sort of spike/surge that went through the electrical system. It is quite common. If unplugging and plugging the unit back in does not resolve the problem, and you are certain that the electrical outlet has power, then chances are that the electronics in the device were damaged as a result of the power loss. Contact a service center for diagnosis/repair.
Look for power outlet and ensure there is power. Check TV on other power outlets. Ensure required voltage is there on the power outlet. Even then, if you notice that the TV does not work, it might be attended to by a skilled and qualifies service technician.
Hi just read your posting. Now if the machine does not light up when you turn the power off then on at the outlet then either your pump is open circuit or your control module is faulty. Now if you have or can borrow an electrical test meter I can help you in the testing of the pump to see if this is the fault. This will narrow down where the fault is and then I can guide you step by step in rectifying the fault.Looking forward to your reply.
First thing to check is for power at the outlet--plug a working lamp in. If no light, find the laundry room breaker in the house electrical panel--push off, then on. Recheck with the light. If ok, try the washer. Hope this helps!
Sounds like the outlet pump has siezed up due to having been stood for so long. You may need to take the pump apart, clean the shaft & reassemble. Or, you could try a spray with WD 40 on the pump. TURN POWER OFF FIRST
