SOURCE: Mitsubishi LT46-144 LCD Verticle Line Problem

Go to Mitsubishi support page, look at warranties (scroll down) and see if your model is under the extended warranty section. Then if so have a tech repair person come look at the picture and order the parts while you keep the tv. Parts and labor are covered.

SOURCE: 2 year old Mitsubishi LT-46149 46" LCD Flat Panel

Does it come and go? I would try reseting the ribbon cables between the LCD panel and the T-CON board first.
The Flexible Printed Circuit BoardS (FPCB) are ultrasonic welded to the LCD TFT panel, they are not SOLDERED on! The connections do get bad due to very delicate nature of how the LCD panels are made. You can also try squeezing the around the top area of the screen where the lines are to see if the lines go away.

Or www.digikey.com, just make sure to use caps with low ESR, 105c, high ripple current and long life rating such as PANASONIC FM or FC series.

How do you fix samsung ps50a457p1dxxu has black verticle line down centre of screen

A vertical line could indicate a faulty lower scan (long skinny boards along the bottom of the set) board, a faulty lower scan connection to the screen or a bad screen altogether!

There is one pencil thin verticle line from top to bottom of my 46 inch tv. It is 3 inches in from the right hand side of screen (mitsubishi LT 4169)

Hi,

All plasma and LCD ts have boards that control vertical and horizontal output to their respective areas. They are connected to the screen by ribbon cables. If one of these boards fails all together, has a failed chip, a bad connection, or a bad ground somewhere it will result in a black line in the area of that board. A bad ribbon cable connection on the bottom will result in a vertical black bar though the screen. Many times resetting the connection will fix it, if the ribbon cable has been nicked there could be a severed connection. They an sometimes be fixed, but it is a pain. An yes I have done it, but the bar is gone. The same will happen if the chip that outputs to that area opens. The connectors are the first place to look paying close attention to the cable, they are extremely delicate so great care must be taken if you decide to tinker with em, the usually have lift locks that release them.

Good luck in solving the problem.....

Verticle black bars

Check the connections on the flat cables to the screen. Be sure first to disconnect the power supply from the x and y sustain boards before you disconnect any of the flat cables.you will burn the cables from the stored energy in the power supply, also check cables on c boards at bottom of screen. If this does not fix probably bad panel.
