Why won't the usb cable work?

I want to use the usb and all I see is wifi- I don't have wifi- it was sent with a usb cable why won't it work?

USB is just the industry name for a certain type of plug/socket used to transfer information. I would think the main thing you would need is the charging cable. You may need something to pick up wifi if you are outdoors. I think you are confusing USB with something else?

Htc wont charge and turn on

If it won't charge then you may have a defective charger, a failed battery or a loose solder joint at the charging port. If your charger plug is fitted with a fuse then consider checking the fuse is okay by trying a new one. Also, check your charger on a friends HTC, check their charger on your HTC. It really is a process of elimination to find the issue yourself.
The HTC won't turn on because it isn't charged, until you fix charging prob it won't turn on.

(Using a WIFI Hotspot is definitely recommended. Connecting your 4G USB dongle to the Nexus 7 will drain the battery quickly since the USB is using the Nexus's battery to power on. This is what I use) but here's how to get your 4g usb dongle to work
Your device must be rooted, and you would need a USB OTG cable/adapter. Here's an example of an OTG USB cable -

Downloading books

If you have the 3G model of Kindle then you can download books using 3G which is like you would use with a mobile phone.

If you don't have 3G then you will need to connect to a WiFi network in order to download books directly to the Kindle. See the Connecting With WiFi Guide for details of how to do so.

You can also transfer books directly from your PC to your Kindle using a USB lead - see the video guide on how to do this.
