Repair dead pixels? - Mitsubishi WD-52525 52" Rear Projection HDTV

Unfortunately, repairs at the "pixel level" are not possible. The display is an "all or nothing" type of repair (I'm not talking about the back lights and support electronics - I'm *only* talking about the display screen). That means that the entire screen is replaced if there are to many dead pixels. (Most screens have dead pixels - manufacturers limit the number of dead pixels on a screen that can be assembled to a TV). If it the Quality Assurance people in the factory find a number of dead pixels that is less than a certain amount - it is "good" and ships. If it is more - it is scrapped.

Generally, your options are: live with it, replace the screen or buy a new TV.

hi if you have a dead pixels in your lcd monitor you can not fixed it, usually repair of the lcd display can only be done by the manufacturer.

your stuck with the dead pixel unfortunately unless you install a new lcd but its not really worth doing on an older machine

Most digital camera's sensors have these so called 'dead pixels' or pixels that aren't functioning. It's normal for your camera to have dead pixels and you cannot do anything to repair it. But some cameras have a certain feature to resolve this issue, the process states that the user manually marks the area of the dead pixel and the camera will try to blend it so that it will appear to more natural. It works by blending the dead pixel to the nearest color of your image.

White pixels are STUCK pixels, not dead. Read the warranty beacuse at a certain number of stuck/dead pixels, the tv is repaired for free by the seller if is in warranty period.

this problem is may due to the presence of dead pixels. dead pixel The pixels that is not in working CONDITION. it cannot be repairable . change your LCD monitor.

If you mean there is a white "dead pixel" on your screen, this is a common fault, modern screens are getting much better, but you still find the odd dead pixel on lots of screens.
There are some companies advertising that they can repair them, but they usually mean they can repair a stuck pixel.

If its just an issue of one or 2 hot/dead pixels I'd just mask them and shift 1x1 pixels as long as they stay in one spot its not a serious issue. Or you may want to try to unfreeze it by using a color strobe directly into the lens but it may not work The other option is to replace the optical assembly and that can easily be a 1k+ repair so really not worth it IMO

One trick that might work is to use your finger nail or a pop sickle stick to massage the screen in the area of the dead pixel. Has worked about 1/2 the times that I have tried it.
