How do you reset a vizio 32 inch tv

try with 720i,480p, 480i

Vizio TV model E371VL turned on ok and had tv show on ch.4.
Turned on the DVD player and put movie dvd in and closed tray.
We have done thhis numerous of times and never had a problem.
This time " HDMI " was showing on top right of black screen,
then " No Signal " came up on screen, then went completely black screen. Called Vizio, they had me power off and unplug set.
Push and Hold power button on TV for 30 sec. to reset.
Replug set and Vizio (lighted) on lower front of set lighted normally dull orange. Pushed power button on remote and when set did not come on, then push main power button on side of TV. Nothing, no White " Vizio " from orange light. Is this a power supply (0500-0412-1020) problem ? Thanks, Sidney ([email protected])

Yes its very repairable as long as the logo stays white you can assume the main boards good. I would recomend contacting the people at www.tvrepairworld.com by hitting the contact us button from their website. They will be able to assist you in finding out whats happening with the set for free. They have most parts available as well.

Reset the TV to its factory settings. For more details, refer its user manual. Unplug the TV from AC mains socket, and replug it after some time, say after 2 minutes or so.

Solutions (2) Best Solution That little fella is only turned off by unplugging it. If all those little lights in America could be turned off we could do with one less nuclear power plant. If unplugging it is not an option, my wife's solution is to cover it with a piece of black tape.

remove all screws on the back of the tv, carefully pull off back cover. you will see two circuit boards one on the left (Power) and one on the right (Video) on the Video board there is a small plug on the right side with a yellow, white and red wire going into a small white connector. the red wire is what controls the orange light on the front. now that the plug is pulled turn it over and you should see a small white plastic piece that holds each metal connector on the end of the wires in. pry this piece of plastic up for the red wire and pull at the same time, the wire will come out of the connector. now tape the metal connector with electrical tape and tuck it behind something or tape it to the chassis. plug your connector back in. put the rear cover back on. now your tv will only show the vizio logo in white when you have the power on. If you wish to disable the logo for both orange and white just disconnect the white plug completely.

possibly is the main board.

Tries unplug,replug about an hour,see if it reset itself.Not than must replaced the signal tuner board.Plasma have this problems alot.

If possible, I would suggest returning it and get another new one.

Try unplugging the tv and holding down the power button for 30 seconds than pluuging it back in and if it does not come back on the tv will need a repair to the power supply, just call tech support and make sure to have the serial number and the reciet handy so they can get you registered on the support system. Hopefully your tv is still under the one year mark than the repair will be free if not it can get expensive fast. Me personnaly have worked for vizio for about a year now and honestly this is a very common problem with theses tv's.
