SOURCE: Fisher & Paykel GWL15 washer won't drain. A

Hi There,You could bail out as much water as possible,Then If you lean the machine back against the wall,(with machine unplugged) you could remove the bottom plate (if fitted) and you will see the pump with a fan attached,Try turning the fan back & forth it may loosen the obstruction and you could then pump the water out before removing the pump for a service,A the front of the pump you will see a small plastic locking clip that needs to be held out while you turn the pump anti-clockwise for removel.Note treat everthing to be live on this machine if plugged in.(unplug machine before attemting any procedure) Best Regards.

SOURCE: how do u replace the agitator on a fisher &

Disconnect power then lift the lid open. Pry the dispenser assembly off the agitator top then remove the agitator bolt by turning it counterclockwise. Once the bolt is off, lift the agitator then install the new agitator in place. Secure it with the agitator bolt then put the dispenser assembly back into position. Lifting the basket helps budge the agitator and remove it more easily.

SOURCE: fisher paykel gwl15 won't pump out water

My F & P Model GWL15 did the same thing. I purchased a new pump but that was not the problem. Tip the machine back and look under. There is a valve diverter that I removed and checked. There was a dime and lots of lint stuck in the valve so it wouldn't move back and forth anymore. I downloaded a parts manual, page 10 and item # 23 is the valve diverter. Once I unclogged it and put it back together, it worked great. I noticed it works better than it has for a long time. I'm a 60 yr old woman so anyone can do this. Good luck.

SOURCE: GWL15 Fisher & Paykel washer doesn't rinse and spin

see this causes and fix it.God bless you

Lid Switch
This is the most common reason for the washer not spinning or agitating. This is easy to check. You will need to remove the switch, this varies with model type but the testing will be the same. When the lid is closed the switch should have continuity when the lid is opend the switch should have no continuity. If it differs replace the Lid Switch.

Timer
To check the timer you will need to refer to the wiring diagram or disassemble to access the motor. Check the leads from the timer to the motor when turned to a wash cycle this should have 120 volts. If not replace the Timer, if it does the timer is not the problem.

Motor
To check the motor you will need to disassemble the washer to access the motor. First you can check the motor windings, to do this remove the plug and connect ohmeter to terminals. Refer to the tech sheet or service manual for the proper reading. Check motor for shorts by connecting ohmeter to terminals and motor housing should have no continuity. Connect voltmeter to motor wire connector and check for voltage. You should have 120 volts, if you do and the motor does not run replace the motor. If it does not have power the problem is elsewhere.

Belt
If your washer is a belt drive type make sure the belt is tight. Check for black soot from belt wear. Replace if it has excessive wear or broke.

Motor Coupler
This is a fairly common problem with direct drive machines but inexpensive and easy to replace. The Motor Coupler transfers power from the motor to the transmission. The following video will walk you through the replacement of the Motor Coupler.

Transmission
The transmission does not usually fail. To check this on a direct drive remove the motor and then turn tub inside. If it spins freely with no noise the problem is elsewhere. If it is noisy it needs replacing this is expensive and depending on the age of your machine you may not want to replace it. On a belt drive remove the belts and spin tub.

How do I see what is causing my Fisher & Paykel EcoSmart washer to leak water?

If it is leaking when draining this would point to the main seal of the WATER PUMP. (Quite common for older machines.)
The pump can be easily removed by leaning the machine backwards, remove wires and see picture. NOTE: about half a litre of water will gush out so it is best to take machine outdoors. Go to a recycling centre or online auction for a replacement. They can be fiddly to replace.

Fisher and paykel gwl15 wont completely drain

Also check the clear pressure tube for blockages,
Blow air down the pressure tube to remove any blockages
that would prevent water level from changing.

Same thing happened to mine. There's a really simple solution: Lay the unit on it's back or lean it far enough back to have access. The pump is near the front and has a black fan blade on the bottom. Remove the electrical plug on the motor; it just pulls right off. Now look for a white plastic retaining lever near the top of the pump. Hold it out and turn the pump about 1/8 turn counter-clockwise, then it almost falls out. I found a safety pin inside that was causing my noise. Went back together just as easily. Problem solved!!!

More likely to be the pump. Right after it lets water in it recirculates the water. To find out start the cycle. When you hear the noise, disconnect the wires going to the pump and see if it stops. The pump is on the bottom. To get to it just tip the machine back.

Fisher Paykel washing machine model # GWL15 drips

Hi Dale..
It sounds like you have a leaky inlet valve assembly. The part number is 421029P and is easy to replace. You can get one here:

Water is not filling up.

turn off water
disconnect fill hose from tap
examine screen inside hose end for 'muck' blockage
clean screen
reconnect hose
test washer
if no fill
replace water solenoid valve

note: cold water valve fails first, it gets most use,
if only using cold water, you can simply swap the hot and cold hoses at the tap, and swap the hot and cold electrical connectors on the solenoid valves, the hot solenoid is no the cold one and the washer can be used, cold only, for about as long as it has operated thus far..
