Remote hit screen and now is cracked . Need replacement lcd screen.

I don't have a listing for your model, but it is not unusual for the panel to cost more than a replacement set. As another example, the replacement tube (CRT) for a 27" Sony set can easily be $700. This was when these sets were being sold for $350!! Parts is where these companies rake in big profits. Don't blame the servicer for this one.
Sorry about the bad news.

Someone did hit the LCD Display to hard, but not hard enough to crack the front, but it"s done!!!!!
The LCD display will cost about as much as a new set.

A couple of weeks ago we had the screen broken in our LG LCD TV when one for the kids threw something at the screen. We got a quote to fix it and it was going to cost more to replace the screen than what it would be to buy a brand new TV. We shopped around for a new TV, comparing LCDs and Plasmas. In the end we purchased a new LG Plasma, which had a thin layer of glass over the screen for protection compared to the LCD. We thought this would be much safer with a 4 and 6 year old around the house running amuck. And there seems to be no differfence between the LCD and the Plasma. Hope this help someone's problem.

There are plenty of companies that sell the LCD panel but it is going to be very expensive. You can get them directly from Sony, Encompass parts is also very good, you could also try Herman's Electronics.
The part number is 1-802-183-11 but it has been discontinued.
The improved replacement part number is 180218312.
