Is my Blu-ray laser broke?

Hi all. My system won't play BD discs anymore. I get a "NoREAD" error message on the player and "Cannot read. Please check disc" on the TV. I can hear the player "clicking" as though it is trying to read the disc. After several attempts it stops and that's when the error messages are displayed. The system will detect CD and also DVD and plays normally. I have tried a factory reset to no avail. I believe that the laser is broke and therefore will need to replace the BD unit. Any idea if I can get a replacement and install it myself (unit well out of warranty). Or does anyone have any other ideas I can try. I am in the UK. Thanks all. Paul
